My Campaign for Lansing City Charter Review Commission

Why?

A strong and resilient Lansing will be built by a large diverse community of citizens with a common goal: Well-being and Prosperity. I believe the framework of our city must encourage democracy, transparency, accountability and accessibility.

What do I want to accomplish?

I want to end poverty, and though changes to the charter will not directly end poverty, the charter will help to build the infrastructure so that we, the people, can solve our own problems with our own unique solutions.

What is my approach?

My approach is to go into the charter review with an “I know I know nothing” attitude. I wish to learn what others are thinking. I will use my experience to search out changes to the charter that encourage and educated and participatory democracy.
